Alex R Crawford is the author of The Time Writer—a historical time travel adventure series packed with pirates, portals, and plenty of trouble. Born and raised in sunny Southern California, Alex has traveled the globe thanks to her military husband. She’s lived in California, Texas, Georgia, Missouri, Virginia, and spent over six years soaking up castles, schnitzel, and centuries of history in Germany. These days, she calls the history-rich Washington D.C. area home.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and International Business and came this close to minoring in History—something she deeply regrets not finishing (seriously, she loves history). She also started not one but two master’s programs (International Relations and Human Relations), but ultimately decided she’d rather chase plot twists than thesis deadlines.
Before turning full-time novelist, Alex spent years as a writer, copyeditor, social media manager, and webmaster for the United States Federal Government. Prior to that, she managed outreach programs for the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army, supporting service members and their families. These days, she spends her time wrangling stories, three dogs (2 of them Irish Wolfhounds), six cats, and the occasional historical obsession.
When she’s not nose-deep in a book or typing away at her next manuscript, Alex can be found wandering through museums, poking around historical landmarks, and asking park rangers far too many questions.
